Ravindra Nanda

Dr. Ravindra Nanda is Professor Emeritus, Former UConn Alumni Endowed Chair and Head of the Department of Craniofacial Sciences and Division of Orthodontics, University of Connecticut. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a member of various organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, European Orthodontic Society and Edward H. Angle Society. He has been active in orthodontic research in the area of biomechanics, clinical trials and acceleration of orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Nanda has given numerous lectures at national and international societies including Mershon Lecture at American Association of Orthodontics and Sheldon Friel Lecture at 2011 EOS Congress. He has authored with his colleagues more than 250 scientific papers and 8 text books. He has been recognized with various awards from numerous international orthodontic organizations.

Veerasathpurush (Sath) Allareddy

Dr. Veerasathpurush (Sath) Allareddy is Professor, Brodie Craniofacial Endowed Chair, and Head of Department of Orthodontics at University of Illinois at Chicago. He serves as the Director of Specialty Node of the National Dental Practice Based Research Network. His areas of research excellence include: National Dental Practice Based Research Network, Artificial Intelligence and Clinical Outcomes Evaluation. He has published over 190 research articles in peer reviewed journals and presented over 250 posters at regional/national/international scientific meetings. He specializes in providing orthodontic care to those with Cleft and Craniofacial Anomalies.

Toru Deguchi

Dr. Toru Deguchi is an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Division of Orthodontics at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He completed his dental training at the Aichi-Gakuin University and received PhD at the Okayama University, Japan. He also completed MSD in Orthodontics at the Indiana University. He has been focusing his clinical interests in the field of temporary anchorage devices (TADs) and clinical outcome studies. He has been also engaged in histomorphometric studies related to tooth movement and pain related topics. Dr. Deguchi is a Diplomate of American Board of Orthodontics and a member of the Midwest Angle Society.

Padhraig Fleming

Padhraig Fleming is Professor, Consultant and Postgraduate Training Lead in Orthodontics at the Institute of Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. Padhraig also works in private practice on a part-time basis. He studied Dentistry in Trinity College Dublin graduating with a Gold Medal and First Class Honours undertaking postgraduate and Consultant training in Orthodontics at the Royal London. He was awarded his MSc. with Distinction in 2007, the Membership in Orthodontics and British Orthodontic Society Medal in 2008, FDS (Orth.) from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010 and his PhD in 2013. 

He is an Associate Editor of American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, British Dental Journal, Journal of Dentistry and Progress in Orthodontics and is on the editorial board of numerous other journals. He has published over 140 peer-reviewed papers and has received numerous research awards including the Chapman Prize from the British Orthodontic Society and the B.F. and Helen E. Dewel Award from the American Association of Orthodontists. He has co-authored three successful orthodontic textbooks: 'Clinical Cases in Orthodontics', 'Functional Appliances: Theory and Practice' and in 2019 'Fixed Orthodontic Appliances: A practical guide'

Lorenzo Franchi

Dr. Lorenzo Franchi received his dental education at the Dental School of the University of Florence, Italy. He completed his PhD in Preventive Orthodontics at the Department of Orthodontics of the University of Florence in 1997. Dr. Franchi is presently Associate Professor and Dean of the School of Dentistry at the University of Florence, Italy, and “Thomas M. Graber Visiting Scholar”, Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, U.S. He has published extensively in the international literature and he has lectured at international meetings and symposia. He is currently member of the Editorial Board of the Angle Orthodontist and Associate Editor of the European Journal of Orthodontics

Luca Lombardo

After earning a the degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics from the University of Palermo in 2004, Dr Lombardo specialized in orthodontics at the University of Ferrara in 2007. He continued there as a research fellow until 2011 and has been an Adjunct Professor since 2010. Since 2012, he has been a Researcher at Ferrara University and member of the European Board of Orthodontics. He is an Associate Professor in Ferrara University since 2019. He is the author of journal publications and a speaker at national and international conferences. He served as President of the Italian Association of Specialists in Orthodontics and President of the Italian Association of Lingual Orthodontics (2013-2016). He is a member of SIDO, AIDOR, WSLO. He is the elected President 2018 of the Italian Academy of Orthodontics.

Keiji Moriyama

Professor Keiji Moriyama graduated from School of Dentistry, Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) in Japan in 1986, and completed his PhD degree and orthodontic program at TMDU in 1990. He pursued his bone cell biology research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, USA from 1992 to 1994. He was appointed as Professor and Chairman, Department of Orthodontics, The University of Tokushima in Japan from 1998 to 2007, then has been serving as Professor and Chairman, Section of Maxillofacial Orthognathics in TMDU from 2007 to present. He served as Dean of the Dental School, Tokyo Medical and Dental University from 2014 to 2017.

Professor Moriyama is an Executive Committee Member of the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), and the Asian Pacific Orthodontic Society (APOS) and serves as President of the Japanese Orthodontic Society (JOS). His main research interests are 1) orthodontic and orthognathic treatment for the patients complexed with congenital anomalies or jaw deformities, 2) Bone remodeling during craniofacial growth and development under physiological and pathological conditions.

David Normando

Dr. David Normando is Professor in Orthodontics, Federal University of Pará, Brazil. He is Editor Emeritus of the Dental Press Journal of Orthodontics and a member of the Brazilian Association of Orthodontist. He has been active in orthodontic research in the area of the etiology of dental malocclusion, esthetics, clinical research and biostatistics. He graduated from the School of Dentistry, Federal University of Pará, Brazil, and completed his Orthodontic residency and Master at the University of São Paulo (HRAC) and Ph.D from the State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has authored with his colleagues more than 100 scientific papers and 10 book chapters. 

Nikolaos Pandis

Dr Nikolaos Pandis is an Associate Professor in the Orthodontic Department at University of Bern, Switzerland and a tutor for the MS program in clinical trials at The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), UK. 

He completed his degree in dental surgery at the University of Athens and his orthodontic speciality certificate and a Master of Science (MSc) at The Ohio State University, USA. He received a fellowship in craniofacial orthodontics at the University of Texas, USA and a MSc degree in clinical trails from LSHTM, UK. Dr Pandis completed his PhD in Epidemiology from University of Ioannina, Greece. 

Letizia Perillo

Letizia Perillo is full Professor and Dean of the School of Dentistry, Chairman of the NEBEOP Postgraduate Orthodontic Program, Head of the Orthodontic Division at Multidisciplinary Department of Medical-Surgical and Dental Specialties, University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Naples. She is 2018-2020 Visiting Professor at University of Alexandria, Egypt, 2021 Elected President of the Italian Society of Orthodontics (SIDO), 2022 Elected President of the Mediterranean Orthodontic Integration Project (MOIP), 2018-2020 International Ambassador of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) for SIDO, Member of the WFO, AAO, EHASO, EOS, SIDO and CH Tweed Foundation (clinical instructor), and member of the Editorial Board of several orthodontic and dental journals.

Prof Perillo graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1986 and specialized in Orthodontics in 1989 at the University of Naples Federico II. She completed her orthodontic training with a postgraduate fellowship at the University of Michigan in 1993 and a PhD in Interceptive Orthodontics at the University of Florence in 1997. She is author and co-author of several scientific publications, 9 books and 10 chapters of books, speaker at national and international courses and congresses. Her main research topics are early treatment, non-extraction treatment, cleft lip and palate, dentofacial orthopedics and genetics.

She is married to a dentist, Sergio Nucci, and has two beautiful daughters, Ludovica and Lorenza and a lovely dog, Candy. Her hobbies are cooking, painting and gardening.
